I have a completely CLOSED HERD

The Miniature Silky Fainting Goat is a rare breed, particularly in Canada with only a handful of registered breeders. Due to government restrictions, no new breeding stock had been imported into Canada since 2015 causing the gene pool of quality animals to be extremely limited.  I didn't want to breed my does to unregistered or foundation registered cross-bred stock when beautiful purebred bucks of the highest quality and bloodlines were available in the United States....if only I could get them into Canada!  Without new "blood", I would be sacrificing quality - something I was not willing to do.  I am the only Canadian breeder that is becoming Scrapies certified through CFIA & this allowed me to import 7 incredibly bred bucks and new bloodlines from the United States into Canada!

ALL OUR GOATS ARE:

* Miniature Silky Fainting Goat Association (MSFGA) registered & microchipped

* Disbudded (by our vet) under sedation

* Up to date on vaccines & hoof care

I love my goats & want to ensure the best possible homes & lives for them so reserve the right to refuse any sale at any point.  Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions - I love to talk about my beautiful goats!

Any available goats are listed on the FOR SALE page.

I only breed high quality animals.  It is not enough that they are "registered", or "have long hair".  Just because it is "MFSGA" or a "silky" does NOT make an animal worthy of breeding.  I critically evaluate structure, coat texture, quantity and length, myotonia, and pedigree.  I have invested A LOT both in money and time in CFIA & Scrapies inspections.  This has allowed me to import phenomenal goats from top Best In Show and Master Champion diverse bloodlines from the USA.

My goats are reasonably and fairly priced for their quality, the new bloodlines I have introduced and the care that I put into my herd with annual testing, clearances & time invested in the babies.  My goats are an investment in the future of the breed with their quality and genetics and I am thrilled to be able to offer others the opportunity to move the breed forward in Canada along with me!

Not interested in breeding? - I occasionally have goats that have not met my stringent criteria for breeding but are healthy, friendly beautiful family farm pets at reduced prices.

I also encourage you as the buyer to buy from breeders that health test ALL of their stock (of appropriate age) for the communicable diseases of CAE and Johnes and from farms that do not have cases of CL.  It's not just something breeders need to worry about - if you are buying goats as pets and bring in these diseases you are going to expose and potentially lose your whole herd.  Testing matters - YES it's expensive - and YES it is necessary and should be done.  Buy from a breeder that tests annually.  Quality knows no comprise.
